So many questions come up in the human mind . One of them is,

Should I prioritise my career more than anything? ”

Or

Should I prioritise my family and sacrifice all others ?”

Or

Should I just live a reluctant life and idle the time away?”

The truth is that life is a jar.

Jeremy Wright invented a theory called ” The Pickle Jar Theory (2002)” . There, he explained that

Profession , family, economy , social status, and life goals are rocks.

Hobby , leisure time , choices, andtrips , patience, ethics, and friends are the pebbles.

Fashion sense , likes and dislikes , listening to songs , small wishes, and all items are sands.

If you try to fill up a jar Only with rocks , it will remain mostly empty. If you try to fill up a jar only with pebbles , there will still be some space left. If you try to fill up the jar only with sands, it will fill the jar half only.

Similarly , if you only proritise your life goals , big career , fame , study , big university, money , house, etc , your life will feel unfulfilled. On the contrary, if you prioritise only your hobbies , relationships , trips, and fun , life will remain unfulfilled again. Also , if you prioritise only your small wishes and likes and dislikes , life will still be unfulfilled and imblanaced.

So , to have a good life , you must balance them all. Put rocks , put pebbles, and put sands in the jar proportionally , definitely, it will fulfil the jar at last.

Put your big goals and family along with small trips , fashion sense , self-love , and hobbies . Try to become a better person each day. Remember , life is once , your big goals are important , but today is important also. There is no such thing as I WILL BE HAPPIER EVER AFTER THAT.

Today is the happiest
