People say that only rote memorization is the key to achieving good marks in biology. But the reality is that learning without understanding will make you eventually fail no matter what subject you’re reading.
Nevertheless, don’t panic. Because memorisation of biological terms depends on some techniques, not on rote learning.
Technique 1 : Draw Picture While Reading.
This is extremely helpful. It’s almost like maths. When you only look at maths ,you understand them but can’t solve them from memorisation.
Similarly, when you read the topics and details, you only remember it for brief moments. On the contrary , when you draw a picture and identify the parts , details, and names, it becomes clear to your brain.
Technique 2 : Translate While Reading The Topic.
Most of us study in our native language. This move is more ordinary to our memorizing system. When you translate it into another language or into English while reading, it becomes extraordinary to yourself and your brain to work more on it. So it keeps it in memory for long term.
Technique 3: Learn The Details.
Harsh reality, but there is no other way to ignore it. Only reading a short explanation of a topic isn’t enough. Instead, it creates more questions and makes the information look puzzled.
Rather , search in google , chatgpt or so on for more the basics and more details. It will help you understand more than the explanationon book , and your answers will be the most extraordinary.
